The True Cost

Not sure what they mean by the cost of your clothes? The true cost is the film to watch. This is a poignant and moving look at the lives affected by negligence in safety laws, human rights and environmental impact.

With pressure to continue to deliver cheaper clothes, with lower production costs and higher profit margins, the cost continues to be paid by those in developing countries.

“One-in-six people work in the global fashion industry. A majority of these workers are women earning less than $3 per day”

This film shows change is needed; that innovation and ethical practice make an incredible difference and that we as shoppers, dictate how quickly change will come.

“LET’S BACK OFF THIS ENDLESS, CONSTANT PURCHASING AND INVEST IN CLOTHES WE LOVE.”

THE TRUE COST DIRECTOR, ANDREW MORGAN

The True Cost- released 2012 – available on UK Netflix and Amazon
